Deep dive into Alt tags & Title tags in HTML

Alt and title tags are HTML attributes that provide information about images and other multimedia elements on a web page (W3Schools, 2021). Alt tags, also known as "alt descriptions," provide a text description of an image for users who are unable to view the image, while title tags provide additional information about the content of a page and are displayed as a tooltip when a user hovers over a link (Moz, 2021).

These tags are important for SEO (search engine optimization) because they provide additional information about the content of a page to search engines, helping to improve the visibility and ranking of the page in search results (Moz, 2021). By including relevant keywords in the alt and title tags, ecommerce sites can improve their SEO and increase the chances of their pages appearing at the top of search results for relevant searches (Moz, 2021).
